对于艺术家林惠兴本人来说，他的艺术探索的结果是一个必然，而对于整个艺术史而言，他的出现则是偶然，林惠兴的创作是一次充满原生力量的火山爆发，是人类对自身、对命运、苦难、孤独凝视后的灵魂的回声。艺术史不是由一个时代的群体书写的，而是每个时代中极少数的个体连成的线索，这条线索既是人类闪耀的思想的结晶，也是人类对某种永恒事物的感知，是一种可能性的发掘与塑造，也是给未知的探索一种希望。

When it comes to the artist Lin Huixing himself, the result of his artistic exploration is a certainty, but for the entire art history, his appearance is accidental that we cannot predict. Lin Huixing's creation is a volcanic explosion full of fierce power, the echo of the human soul after gazing at themselves, fate, sufferings, and loneliness. Art history is not written by a group of people in an era, but a clue connected by a few individuals in each era, which is not only the crystal of human's shining thoughts but also human's perception towards something permanent, it is a kind of exploration and shaping of the possibilities and a hope for the exploration of the unknown.

林惠兴的作品在思想层面带着一种永恒属性，他不为某种特定的意识形态发声，甚至他不为人类梦寐以求的对幸福的渴望一丝慰藉，而是站在生命的立场，在痛苦的深渊，在孤独的灵魂的起点带领观众一起回归，回归到对自我的审视，对生命最具深情的关照。

The thought layer of Lin Huixing’s works has an eternal property, he does not speak for a particular ideology, even does not have little comfort for the desire of happiness which is always chased by a human being, but to stand in the perspective of life, in an abyss of anguish, the starting point of the lonely soul to lead the audience to return, where they can have the self-questioning, and the deepest caring for life.

就雕塑语言来看，林惠兴沿袭着经典雕塑的轨迹实现了一种确定的变形，这种变形在林惠兴之前只有贾科梅蒂做到了，林惠兴的雕塑在变形的过程中树立了一种新的形象，新的语言风格。这种形象既发掘了生命原始的力量-来自本能的欲望，又展现出一种被命运蹂躏过的面貌-痛苦与挣扎。同时，我们也能在这些形象中感受到一种莫大的悲悯，脆弱和爱，复杂与虚无的交织。

As far as the sculpture language is concerned, Lin Huixing follows the track of classical sculpture to achieve a certain deformation, which was achieved only by Giacometti before Lin Huixing. Lin Huixing's sculptures establish a new image and new language style in the process of deformation. This image not only explores the original power of life - the desire from the instinct but also shows a face ravaged by fate - pain, and struggle. At the same time, we can also feel great compassion, vulnerability, and love, the interweave of complexity and nothingness in these images.

对于观众而言，看这些作品如同进入到一个宗教般的场景，是一次对个体灵魂的唤醒和回声。正是由于艺术家林惠兴站在生命的立场揭示生命的普遍活动，观众才有机会凭借这样的作品看到自身生命活动的样貌，这些作品是我们的孤独的回声，我们的痛苦的回声，我们的爱和欲的回声，我们的脆弱与良善的回声，我们进入深渊时无助的回声......

As for the audience, watching these works is like entering a religious scene, is a wake-up and echo towards the individual soul. It is only because of the artist Lin Huixing, who stands in the position of life revealing the common activities of life, can the audience have a chance to rely on such works to see the appearances of their own life activities, these works are the echoes of our loneliness, the echo of our pain, of our love and the desire, of our vulnerability and our kindness, and the echo of the helplessness when we enter the abyss...

“人间剧场 II”展览共呈现了艺术家林惠兴不同时期创作的数百件大型雕塑与装置作品，在营造一种震撼的视效的同时也为观众带来一次灵魂共鸣的观展体验。
